Who we are

The East County Windwalkers (ECW) club was formed in October 1987 in Gresham, Oregon. The group's purpose was to promote healthy walking, organize and host mapped-out walks, and get to know the community in which we live. Walking affords many surprises in seeing areas of town that are not accessible by car and, therefore, missed!

Today, the East County Windwalkers club is going strong with dedicated workers creating beautiful mapped walks along trails, through neighborhoods, and parks.

What we do

Every month, two of our members volunteer to clean up sections of the Springwater Trail. This effort helps keep our trails pristine, ensuring that everyone can fully enjoy all the natural beauty Gresham has to offer.

Every Tuesday morning we offer a 5K (3-mile) walk around the greater Gresham area, Sandy and Estacada. These walks are open to everyone who wants to join us. You walk at your own pace and there is usually someone who will walk with you.
