Come in regularly (twice a month or more) to help us sort donations, organize inventory, and curate a trauma-informed client shopping experience focused on dignity and autonomy.
The work you do will directly support people and families starting over from adversity as they pick out furniture and household items to set up their new homes.
Volunteers in this role will:
- Unpack and process incoming donations according to organizational protocols and policies (including LOTS of linens - we need plenty of clean sheets, towels, and blankets.)
- Maintain safe, clean, and neat work area
- Organize and categorize inventory on shelves of warehouses.
- Must be able to withstand long periods of standing in potentially hot/cold warehouses
Shifts available:
Wednesday - Friday 9 - 12, 12 - 3, and 3 - 5 and Saturday 10 - and 1 - 4
This opportunity cannot accommocate volunteers younger than 18 except on Saturdays (16 +)
This opportunity does not qualify for community service hours.
